Water Parks & Aquarium
Take a break and enjoy our water diversions, ideal to enjoy in family to relax and have fun.
What child doesn’t love a waterpark? In Mallorca you can take your pick from three. Aqualand in El Arenal is the largest and has adrenaline rides, special areas for small children, and plenty of fun in-between slides. Take junction 13 off the Palma to Arenal motorway.
Where else would fantasy cowboy and Indian themed Western Water Park be, but Magaluf? In addition to the slides and rides, there are waterfalls, fountains, Jacuzzis and a lazy river.
Hidropark, in northern Alcúdia, isn’t as big as the others but still provides plenty to keep everyone happy for hours. It’s worth noting that the food and refreshment options in all of the parks – like anywhere else – do not represent the best value. Take snacks, a picnic and drinks to avoid spending far more than you intended.
Looking for some wet family fun? Choose one of these Waterparks to spend a lovely day with the family! […] Visit a Waterpark
1 popular sea-life attraction
Marineland in Costa d’en Blanes (Portals Nous) wins rave reviews for its performing dolphin, sea lion and parrot shows. Though quite small, the park also has aquariums, an aviary and a tropical house with snakes and reptiles. Booking tickets online in advance usually works out a bit cheaper (see marineland.es).
There’s also the opportunity to swim with dolphins – at an added (not cheap) cost. The many nice bars, cafes and restaurants of Portals Nous are just a short stroll away, as is a tranquil beach.
1 Enormous Aquarium (with the biggest shark tank in Europe)
There’s so much to see at Palma Aquarium (very close to the airport in Can Pastilla) that you’ll need a good few hours to cover it all. Visitors go on an adventure through the Mediterranean and tropical seas, to the accompaniment of classical music which heightens the mysterious beauty of the marine life. The hype around The Big Blue – the deep, magnificent shark tank – overshadows the fact that the aquarium is also home to the biggest collection of live coral in Europe.
There’s also a brilliant outdoor kid’s play area complete with pirate ship, and a covered rainforest garden – perfect for cooling off on a hot day.
Palma Aquarium is open 365 days a year. It is a great place to visit regardless of your age. It takes around 2 hours to see all the attractions. Check online for special promotions and offers. […]
