Stop 1
1. Valldemossa: Local Flavors, Royal Charterhouse & Legends
Stroll through romantic narrow streets lined with potted plants and traditional stone architecture.
- Morning Coffee at a Traditional Bakery: We highly recommend starting your morning with coffee at the iconic Ca’n Molinas Pastisseria, the oldest traditional bakery in the center of Valldemossa. Be sure to try an authentic Coca de Patata (a traditional fluffy potato pastry), baked using an original secret recipe made exclusively in Valldemossa. Pair it with a cup of rich hot chocolate or fresh coffee.
- The Royal Charterhouse & King Sancho’s Palace: Visit the historic Real Cartuja de Valldemossa.
(Note: Entry to the separate Chopin & George Sand Cell Museum cells #2 and #4 requires a small additional ticket).
- The Scandalous Legend of Chopin & George Sand: During the winter of 1838–1839, composer Frédéric Chopin and French author George Sand stayed in the village. At the time, George Sand shocked the conservative local residents — she wore men’s trousers, smoked cigars in public, and did not attend church. The locals were so scandalized that they initially refused to sell them food!
Stop 2
2. Son Marroig, Sa Foradada & Archduke Ludwig Salvator
Leaving Valldemossa, we drive along one of the most breathtaking coastal roads in the Mediterranean, stopping at the Son Marroig Estate for panoramic views of the famous perforated rock peninsula — Sa Foradada.
- House Museum of Archduke Ludwig Salvator: Here lies the estate of Austrian Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria, an eccentric noble and explorer who fell in love with Mallorca and bought vast stretches of the coast to protect them from development. He arrived on his legendary steam yacht named Nixe (which inspired the name of the famous 5-star luxury Hotel Nixe Palace in Palma).
- S’Estaca Estate: The Archduke also built the historic coastal estate of S’Estaca nearby, which today is famously owned by Hollywood actor Michael Douglas.
Stop 3
3. Artist Village of Deià & Belmond La Residencia
Nestled between towering cliffs and the sea, this cobblestone village of Deià has long been a sanctuary for artists, writers, and musicians.
- Recommended Stop: Take 5–10 minutes to admire or walk around the historic Belmond La Residencia, a world-renowned luxury hotel crafted from traditional 16th-century stone manor houses among olive groves.
Stop 4
4. Port de Sóller & Sóller Valley — Coastal Views, Culture & Citrus Groves
Our route culminates in the horseshoe-shaped bay of Port de Sóller — the only coastal resort with a sandy beach in the entire Tramuntana mountain range!
- The Perfect Lunch Spot: We highly recommend stopping here for lunch. The promenade offers exceptional seaside restaurants serving fresh local fish, seafood, and authentic paella. Your driver will gladly recommend the best tables with marina views.
- Enjoy a relaxed walk along the waterfront and watch the historic vintage wooden Sóller Tram rattle along the beach line.
🎟️ Ticketed Attractions & Recommended Experiences in Sóller:
- Vintage Sóller Tram & Train: Take a ride on the famous historic wooden tram linking the mountain town of Sóller directly to its coastal port. (Tip: Skip-the-line passes and combined tickets can be reserved online via GetYourGuide or Viator).
